Sublime was an American band formed in Long Beach, California, in 1988, fronted by singer-guitarist Bradley Nowell. Blending ska, punk, reggae, and dub, the band gained wide recognition with its 1996 self-titled album, released two months after Nowell's death from a drug overdose. That album was later certified Diamond by the RIAA.
