Switchfoot is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California, in 1996 and led by vocalist Jon Foreman. Often described as Christian rock while identifying themselves as "Christian by faith, not genre," the band broke through with the 2003 album The Beautiful Letdown and its single "Meant to Live." That album was certified triple platinum.
