Yefim Bronfman is a Soviet-born Israeli-American pianist, born April 10, 1958 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and internationally recognized as one of today's most acclaimed pianists. He immigrated to Israel in 1973, made his international debut with Zubin Mehta and the Montreal Symphony in 1975, and studied at Juilliard, Marlboro, and the Curtis Institute. He became a U.S. citizen in 1989, won the Avery Fisher Prize in 1991, and a Grammy Award in 1997
