What's special
Animé Los Angeles is a nonprofit anime and Japanese-culture convention sponsored by the California Anime Foundation, running every January since its first edition in 2005. The 22nd edition runs January 7 through 10, 2027 at the Long Beach Convention Center, with an optional Day 0 welcome event, 'An Evening on Deck', held aboard the Queen Mary for attendees who pick up a Full Event badge early

Programming spans a cosplay-focused Masquerade competition, a Hall Cosplay Contest, a Children's & Teens Cosplay Contest, a Fashion Show, an Idol Showcase and a Saturday Concert Series, alongside a detailed, peace-bonded prop and weapons policy that bans hard-material blades and realistic firearm replicas while allowing lightweight 3D-printed props. Attendees needing ADA accommodations can visit the Attendee Services desk in the main lobby (center of the convention promenade by the Exhibit Hall escalators/stairs); for panels or events with a line queue, a Con Ops or Programming Ops staff member near the line's front can place an attendee in an ADA queue for entry.

ALA partners with Mozena Medical Supplies & Equipment for a mobility-aid rental/drop-off service just outside the Exhibit Hall (rental pricing not yet published at capture). Hard canes or walking sticks used for ADA purposes must be one piece with no hidden cavities or compartments and are inspected by the venue on entry; they are not counted as a prop under the Props Policy
