What's special
FanimeCon's 2027 edition runs May 28 to 31 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, with additional space at South Hall and the San Jose Civic for MusicFest. The current pre-registration tier, open since launch through January 31, 2027, is $90 for a Full Weekend badge, rising on a three-step ladder to $110 by the final tier; single at-con days run $70 to $80, and children 10 and under attend free with a paid adult badge. No VIP or premium attendee badge is published at all. The props policy bars any metal weapon-shaped prop regardless of sharpness and all firearms or replicas, requires any prop gun to read as a prop from 50 feet with a substantial orange tip, and bans functional bows and smoke machines. Gaming spans tabletop including an 18-plus Late Night track, arcade and indie games, and a dedicated Gaming Stage, while a Parent Lounge, Lactation Room and Prayer Room round out the show's amenities
