The experience
What's special
Basscon Pool Party is Insomniac's hard-dance pool party, held in Las Vegas during EDC Week, the run of pool parties and dance-music events on and around the Strip leading up to Electric Daisy Carnival. Billed as the week's dedicated hardstyle and hard-dance party, it draws fans looking for a heavier alternative to the house- and bass-focused day clubs that fill the EDC Week calendar
What people love
Hard-dance fans single out Basscon as the EDC Week party worth building a trip around, with attendees describing themselves as "doubling down" on it once the lineup drops and noting it draws a crowd specifically there for hardstyle rather than the more mainstream pool-party audience. Regulars caution that, like other Las Vegas daytime pool parties, sun and heat are a real factor
Last time around (2026)
The 2026 edition was held Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, during Insomniac's EDC Week (May 13-19, 2026) in Las Vegas, again serving as the week's hard-dance pool party
