EDC Las Vegas is Insomniac's flagship electronic-music carnival, a dusk-to-dawn spectacle staged at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway each spring where hundreds of DJs play across a sprawl of heavily produced stages beneath fireworks, art cars and carnival rides. Its defining rhythm is nocturnal: gates open in the evening and the party runs until sunrise, sidestepping the worst of the desert heat, while the on-site Camp EDC lets tens of thousands stay in a tented village next to the venue. The scale of production and the PLUR (peace, love, unity, respect) culture among ravers are as central to the identity as the music itself

The headline draw is the density of the lineup and the immersive production, with attendees describing a festival that puts many of the world's biggest DJs in one place and a stage design that regulars return for year after year. On-site camping is repeatedly singled out as the smart way to attend, with campers praising the short walk to the gates and access to real bathrooms and shower trailers. The recurring frustration is getting to and from the Speedway: standstill Interstate traffic and shuttle delays are the single most common complaint, and some attendees also flag densely packed dancefloors where crowd-pushing detracts from the experience. The most recent completed edition ran May 15-17, 2026, marking EDC Las Vegas's 30th anniversary with a kickoff parade and more than 250 artists across the Speedway. Attendee commentary again centred on transport: with a main route to the Speedway reportedly closed, gridlocked Interstate traffic became the weekend's defining headache, and delays of up to three hours were reported. High winds gusting around 40 mph on the final night chilled the air and forced several stages to close early, but the production, music and PLUR atmosphere were widely praised as quintessential EDC

No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.

Intercity coaches reach Las Vegas from Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Salt Lake City and other regional cities (FlixBus and Greyhound share a network; Las Vegas stops include the Strip/downtown area). They serve the host city only no scheduled coach reaches the Speedway itself, so pair with the official EDC shuttle or rideshare for the last 17 mi

The only official shuttle program and the only charter bus allowed to drop at the festival gates, using a dedicated route that bypasses regular traffic to a lot directly adjacent to the site. NOTE: shuttles depart from in-town stops, NOT from the airport fly-in attendees take a rideshare/taxi from LAS to a hotel near a stop first. Standard stops: World Market Center (435 S Grand Central Pkwy), The Rio (3700 W Flamingo Rd), The Strat (2000 S Las Vegas Blvd), Mid-Strip (3645 S Las Vegas Blvd); Premier adds Virgin Hotels (4455 Paradise Rd). Standard: continuous departures 6:30pm-11:00pm, returns 2:00am until 60 min after Kinetic Field closes (no service 11pm-2am); passes are stop-specific. Premier: reserved departure (6:30/8:30/10:30pm) and return (3:00/4:30/6:00am) slots, inbound security fast-pass, merch item. Opening Ceremony add-on from The Rio, Friday only. All riders get security pre-check, restrooms and water at every stop, and a dedicated support team. Private charter buses are banned from Speedway access

Both major apps operate throughout Las Vegas including LAS (airport adds a ~$3 per-trip surcharge). At the festival, ALL rideshare/taxi/guest drop-offs and pickups must use the designated lot (Mid-Brown Lot) reached from I-15 N via the E Tropical Parkway exit on-street drop-off near the Speedway and walking to the venue along Las Vegas Blvd are prohibited and enforced by Las Vegas Metro PD / Nevada Highway Patrol. The festival's own page warns of long waits, dynamic (surge) pricing, product unavailability and 'extremely limited' regional rideshare reliability during event hours, especially late night, and recommends backup plans (taxi, carpool)
