The experience
What's special
The Brevard Renaissance Fair was a long-running Renaissance fair in Melbourne, FL, on Florida's Space Coast, most recently held at a county-owned park. After disputes with local government and difficulty securing a venue, organizers canceled the 2026 edition and announced plans to leave Brevard County, saying they hoped to return in 2027 at a new site outside the county. A separate, unaffiliated event, the Space Coast Renaissance Fair in Viera, launched in the same window
What people love
In its Melbourne years, attendees praised the jousting shows in particular. Common complaints centered on the grounds: recent editions were described as extremely muddy, with a later move to a new site drawing complaints about loose, dusty mulch footing, and some visitors felt the fair had become overpriced
