What's special
The Florida Renaissance Festival is South Florida's long-running renaissance faire, held eight weekends from February into March at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, just north of Fort Lauderdale. Each weekend carries its own theme - from a Viking's Valor and Sirens and Shipwrecks to a steampunk-tinged Rise of the Cog-Keepers - with over 100 artisans and over 100 performers, jousting, a pub crawl and pub sing, and specialty acts. Admission (which folds in the county park's small entry fee) runs from 10 a.m. to sunset, and the box office is cashless. The 2027 season is its 35th annual.

By train 1
Tri-Rail runs up the Broward/Palm Beach corridor with its own FLL Airport station (reached by a free airport shuttle bus) and a Deerfield Beach station about 4-5 miles east of Quiet Waters Park. Take Tri-Rail north from the airport to Deerfield Beach, then a short rideshare or local bus to the park, a low-cost option that skips I-95 traffic.
