It is volunteer run, free by design, donation and sponsor supported, and alcohol free
The experience
What's special
A free, all-day community yoga festival held each June at Pierce Park in Appleton, Wisconsin. The June 2026 edition spread 49 classes across seven themed tents, from vinyasa, chair yoga, Yin, Yoga Nidra and yoga Pilates fusion to Tai Chi, Qigong, trauma informed Hatha, Buti and partner yoga, with a Galaxy Tent given over to sound journeys with singing bowls, gongs and Native flute. A Healing Haven of five treatment tents offered bookable 20 minute wellness sessions, the Sound Arts Odyssey main stage ran interactive concerts from opening to closing ceremony, and a Kids Tent, vendor village and food truck row rounded out the day. Everything runs first come, first served with no registration
What people love
Attendees describe a magical, welcoming day with a strong sense of community, singling out the wide range of class options, the free flowing format, the local vendors, the kids area, the drum circle and fire show, the hammocks and the park setting

The practice
all levels. The festival's class guide codes every class by intensity, from classes done seated or lying down with pose variations for broad physical accessibility, through flowing classes with frequent transitions, up to fast-paced classes coordinating one breath per movement where prior yoga experience is suggested. The FAQ stresses that every body is welcome to try any class and to do as much or as little as feels right
Flowing sequences that link breath to movement. Expect to move and sweat.
Slower, foundational postures held breath by breath. The classic starting point.
Long, passive floor holds that reach deep tissue. Slow, quiet and meditative.
Guided lying-down meditation on the edge of sleep. No movement at all.
Poses adapted to a chair, accessible whatever your mobility.
Slow, exploratory movement focused on how it feels rather than how it looks.
