Dirty South Yoga Fest returns to The Loudermilk Center, Atlanta, GA, Oct 17, 2026. Froligo tracks current ticket prices, attendee feedback and travel details.
What it stands for
Real. Raw. Southern Yoga. Dirty South Yoga grew from a 2013 gathering of Atlanta instructors who wanted realness, connection and community in Southern yoga, and it frames practice as a willingness to get your hands dirty, doing the work of inner transformation in community. It supports, spotlights and celebrates local yoga across the South, keeps classes approachable for every level, and moved to a one-day format for 2026 so the whole community practices together at once. A portion of every ticket goes to the festival's non-profit partner
The experience
What's special
Atlanta's homegrown yoga festival, running since 2014 and named Best of Atlanta by Atlanta Magazine. For 2026 it returns from a year off as a single day, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturday, October 17 at the Loudermilk Center in downtown Atlanta, under the theme Community in Practice. The day is built around Community Paths: four rounds of concurrent breakout classes, each room rooted in a guiding value (Grounding, Creativity, Courage, Compassion, Voice, Curiosity and Connection, inspired by the chakras), taught by 37 named teachers from across the South. It opens with a group gathering, pauses for a 90-minute Community Marketplace of vendors, makers and food, closes with a Community Practice and Closing Circle, and rolls into the evening Dirty South Social with the first drink on the house
What people love
Attendees describe an immersive, community-centered gathering and highlight the diversity of teachers and the sense of connection across the Southern yoga community

The practice
all levels. Classes are designed for all levels, from fast-moving power yoga, arm balances and handstands to gentle, restorative, chair and yin practice; attendees choose one class per Community Paths block, four in total, based on what they need that day
Guided lying-down meditation on the edge of sleep. No movement at all.
Slow, exploratory movement focused on how it feels rather than how it looks.
Fully supported poses with props, built for rest and recovery rather than effort.
Flowing sequences that link breath to movement. Expect to move and sweat.
A set sequence practiced with breath, gaze and posture working together. Disciplined and physical.
Breathwork, chanting and repeated movements aimed at energy and focus more than a workout.
Poses adapted to a chair, accessible whatever your mobility.
Long, passive floor holds that reach deep tissue. Slow, quiet and meditative.
Slower, foundational postures held breath by breath. The classic starting point.
