The Dumb Supper: Dinner with the Dead 2026 returns to Hawthorne Hotel, Salem, MA, Oct 25, 2026. Froligo tracks current ticket prices, attendee feedback and travel details.

How often it runs. A single dated evening inside the Festival of the Dead, Salem's October series, and the one its producers call the Salem Witches' most sacred event: Sunday 25 October 2026, 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the Grand Ballroom of the Hawthorne Hotel. It shares its date with the Mourning Tea, the series' late morning event at the same hotel, and the two are separate tickets and separate records. Tickets are live on the organizer's own Eventbrite listing

The experience

What's special

The Dumb Supper is the event its own producers call the Salem Witches' most sacred: a banquet in the Grand Ballroom of the Hawthorne Hotel eaten entirely in silence, in honor of the dead. The organizer describes the shape precisely. An opening blessing guides attendees, in its words, through the veil between the worlds; photos and mementos of lost loved ones go onto an elaborate altar; then a served dinner unfolds with the courses backwards, dessert first, and every place setting reversed, which the organizer calls a means of weaving participants into the shadowy world of spirit. The only sound is music chosen in memory of the departed. It runs once, Sunday 25 October 2026, 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m., hosted by Salem Warlocks Christian Day and Brian Cain

What it costs

Two separate costs

One layer, fully published, at the top of this series' price range. The ticket is General Admission at $150.00, and Eventbrite's checkout adds $9.24 in fees for a total of $159.24. The full served menu is included and nothing else is sold on top. The rules are part of the money story: arriving after 6.30, speaking, using a phone or taking photographs each forfeit the seat without refund, so the practical cost of a late train is the whole ticket. The remaining adjacent costs are Salem's October travel premium and mourning-appropriate attire if you choose to dress for it

Getting in

General Admission$150.00Plus $9.24 in Eventbrite fees at checkout, $159.24 total, captured 5 September 2026. No sale pricing in effect; single tier; up to 10 tickets per order; includes the served multi course dinner. 18 and over; sales final; no admission or refund for latecomers.

The ticket covers the full evening: the blessing, the altar ritual and the served menu, published course by course, from the wild mushroom triangoli appetizer through lobster bisque, Nathaniel's salad, the Mediterranean style chicken entree, and the apple blossom dessert with coffee and tea, served in reverse order per the tradition the organizer describes. The menu is published as subject to change Eventbrite fees are itemized at checkout on the $150.00 ticket, $9.24 in all. Sales are final per the organizer; the Eventbrite listing states no refunds; the published conduct rules each carry a removal without refund term. Dietary requirements, vegetarian or allergies, must be emailed in advance; the organizer says it can only accommodate needs it knows about before the silent event
