What's special
FreakNight Festival was USC Events' Halloween-season electronic-music party in the Seattle area, long billed as the city's biggest Halloween event. Staged mainly at the WaMu Theater, it wrapped house, bass, trance and techno stages in a twisted big-top circus aesthetic, with indoor carnival rides, cabaret and sideshow performers, and elaborate attendee costumes
What people love
Longtime attendees credited USC Events with reliably strong lineups and a fun Halloween atmosphere, with several saying they had a great time 'regardless of the lineup.' Complaints were consistent about the venues, however: bad sound bleed, cramped and overcrowded main-stage areas, and recurring line and security issues, with the WaMu Theater generally preferred over the Tacoma Dome
