The Green River Rendezvous is the Museum of the Mountain Man's signature summer event in Pinedale, Wyoming - a four-day celebration of the Rocky Mountain fur-trade era held on the second full weekend in July, in the heart of the Upper Green River Valley where several of the historic rendezvous took place. The weekend pairs free living-history demonstrations (an American Mountain Men Trapper's Camp, a Plains Indian encampment, and hands-on skills from black powder firearms to Native American sign language, beaver trapping and fire making) with the Rocky Mountain Fur Trade Journal Forum, the Mountain Man Hall of Fame, a Western Art Wine Auction, and the featured exhibition Confluence of Cultures.

Historical context
The Green River Rendezvous is a living-history event celebrating the Rocky Mountain fur-trade era of 1825-1840, when Euro-American trappers and traders and Native nations of the Northern Plains and Rockies met to trade. The decades that followed saw the loss of Native lands and ways of life across the American West. The host Museum of the Mountain Man maintains a Plains Indian Advisory Board and presents the exhibition Confluence of Cultures, exploring the meeting of Plains Indian and Mountain Man cultures.
