Harmony Festival comes to Cedar Rapids, IA, Expected July. Froligo tracks current ticket prices, attendee feedback and travel details.

What it stands for

The festival describes itself as a community centered music, sound healing and yoga festival, and says its goal is to bring community members together in a nurturing environment to heal. The 2026 theme was Solidarity. It bills itself as intentionally inclusive and dynamically curated, features local mental health resources including The Olsen Clinic, Foundation 2 and The Exhale Project alongside local teachers, therapists, artists and musicians, and programmes explicitly for specific communities with a class for people of color and a queer yoga club. Its stated position is that when we heal ourselves, we heal our community and our world

The experience

What's special

A three day festival that spreads out across the Czech Village and New Bohemia neighborhoods of Cedar Rapids rather than filling one field, so a weekend means walking between a museum hall, two yoga studios, the public library, a public market and a small hill. The 2026 programme mixed yoga with a heavy sound healing strand, Qi Gong, somatic movement, hoop flow and a creativity workshop run by a working band, and a large share of it was free and open to the public. Yoga runs on all three days, from a loud rock soundtrack class on Friday night to partner yoga on Saturday and Hatha and Queer Yoga on Sunday morning, though sound work is at least as prominent as asana across the weekend

Who it's for

Who it's for. No overall fitness scale is published. Individual descriptions run from a slow prop-supported flow and a gentle hatha flow with modifications, through Qi Gong described as accessible to all experience levels, to a loud rock soundtrack yoga class and a partner yoga workshop that ends with more challenging shapes. The Queer Yoga Club states that no yoga experience or equipment is needed and that the host venue, Breathing Room, provides equipment free of charge

Accessibility & comfort

What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.

Disability accessHarmony Festival itself publishes no accessibility page and no access statement anywhere on harmonyfestival.net. The site has only seven content pages (home, lineup, schedule, class descriptions, partners, vendor info, sponsor information, tickets) and every likely access URL returns 404. Nothing is published about accessible parking, drop off, step free entry to any practice space, accessible toilets, or companion and carer tickets. This is a multi venue festival spread across the Czech Village and New Bohemia neighbourhoods of Cedar Rapids, and the published schedule confirms sessions run at the African American Museum of Iowa, Breathing Room Yoga Studio, Illuminations Studio, Rootspace, NewBo City Market, Cedar Rapids Public Library (in Beems, upstairs), and Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center. No shuttle of any kind is mentioned on the schedule or anywhere else on the site, so plan on getting between venues independently; the organiser publishes no statement on whether any transport is provided or whether it would be accessible. One published terrain detail is worth knowing: the Friday 4pm opening Synchronicity Circle is at Mt Trashmore and the organiser writes that attendees should "Meet at the bottom of the trail for before ascending the 'mountain' with a playful & open spirit", so that session involves walking a trail uphill. On the venues themselves, the only access information found is third party, not the festival's: Cedar Rapids Tourism publishes an Accessible Cedar Rapids guide, curated with The Arc of East Central Iowa, which describes the African American Museum of Iowa as a fully accessible building, describes NewBo City Market as "The fully accessible and sustainable building", and says the Cedar Rapids Public Library is ADA compliant and accessible with both campuses Certified Sensory Inclusive in 2021. That guide is a tourism board statement, not a statement by the festival or by the venues. Nothing at all is published about Breathing Room Yoga Studio, Illuminations Studio, Rootspace or Prairiewoods, which between them host a large share of the programme. Treat every venue other than the museum, the market and the library as unknown and ask before booking
Quiet & supportCedar Rapids Tourism's Accessible Cedar Rapids guide states of the Cedar Rapids Public Library, one of the festival venues, that "You will find designated quiet areas and sensory bags available." and that both library campuses were Certified Sensory Inclusive in 2021. That is the tourism board's description of the library, not a festival provision, and it says nothing about whether those quiet areas are available or reserved during Harmony's Saturday sessions in the Beems room upstairs

Recovery and comfort. A late July weekend in Iowa spread over walkable indoor studios, a museum, a library, a public market and one outdoor hill climb, so the demands are travel between venues rather than a single field. The Friday opener climbs a trail to the top of Mt Trashmore and the festival asks for comfortable shoes, a hat and a water bottle. Mats and blankets are available for the Friday Sound Meditation but the festival still asks people to bring their own, and several sessions run two hours seated or lying down, so a bolster or cushion, an extra layer for indoor air conditioning and a comfort item are worth carrying. Studio floors rather than grass means less cleanup but harder surfaces for long holds

Shop links may earn Froligo a commission; they never change the price you pay.

Marketplace and vendors

The festival runs a vendor programme but publishes no vendor list. Its vendor page says vendor spots are limited for 2026, asks applicants to email [email protected], and prices a 10x10 vendor spot at $75, which includes one stand-by pass to most of the workshops and classes plus pre-event advertising on the website, newsletter and social media. Whether a public marketplace runs at any festival venue is not stated
