Movement is Detroit's Memorial Day weekend electronic-music festival, staged downtown at Hart Plaza on the riverfront in the city widely regarded as the birthplace of techno. Across three days and multiple stages it leans deep into techno and house alongside a broader electronic program, and it functions as an annual homecoming for the genre, pairing an underground sensibility with a landmark public-square setting overlooking the Detroit River
