Mythical & Medieval Festival of Myrtle Beach

The Mythical & Medieval Festival is billed as Myrtle Beach's only Renaissance festival, held at RH Acres in Socastee over two November weekends as a fundraiser for Caleb's Dragonfly Dreams, a non-profit serving abused, abandoned and neglected children in Horry County. The grounds, styled as the village of Shadow Bay, offer a fairy forest, medieval combat, princesses, a fire show, jousting and sword fighting, mead tasting, blacksmithing and glass-blowing demonstrations, an artisan's village, and a costume parade, with all shows and live music included in admission. It is a young, growing, family-oriented event, and a sister Celtic Festival with Highland games runs in the spring.

Attendees describe it as a smaller but genuinely fun and family-friendly faire, praising the welcoming, diverse crowd, the detailed costumes on display, and the charitable mission. Several visitors say they had an amazing time and plan to return the following year.
