What's special

The Silver Sage Renaissance Festival is a community-based, education-focused renaissance faire in southwest Missouri, billed as an immersive experience where knights roam, artisans work in the open, and visitors explore a recreated Renaissance-era village. Founded in Garden City, Kansas, in 2020, it relocated to the Joplin area and held its first Missouri edition in 2025. Recent editions have run at Landreth Park in Joplin across two themed weekends - one leaning into pirate and steampunk themes, the other a Viking invasion with medieval elements - with stage shows, street performers, combat demonstrations, archery, axe throwing, and a vendor marketplace. General admission has been $20, and the festival has announced a move to Center Creek Park in Carl Junction, MO, for 2027.
