Ohio State Fair returns to Columbus, OH, Jul 28 to Aug 8, 2027. Froligo tracks current ticket prices, camping, attendee feedback and travel details.

What to eat & drink

$3 Thursdays, held both Thursdays of the 2026 fair (July 30 and Aug. 6), let vendors across the grounds sell a smaller-size version of a signature item for $3, with a published 2026 list naming dozens of vendors and items, from churros and agua fresca to Marshall's original waffles and a sloppy pig slider.

The experience

What's special

The Ohio State Fair ran twelve consecutive days in the summer of 2026, from July 29 to August 9, at the 360-acre Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, with the 2027 edition already confirmed for July 28 to August 8. On-site adult gate admission in 2026 was thirteen dollars, nine dollars bought in advance, with free entry every day for children five and under and for veterans, military and first responders with identification. Carnival rides sit on a separate ticket from that gate admission, a ride-all-day wristband running thirty-three to thirty-eight dollars depending on timing, while a paid concert ticket at the WCOL Celeste Center works the other way around, including that day's fair admission in its price

What people love

The Dairy Building's celebrated cheese sandwich is named by the organiser itself as a signature dish, alongside a sprawling $3 Thursday menu spanning churros, Marshall's original waffles and a sloppy pig slider

Last time around

The 2026 fair's own accessibility, camping and discount-day pages remain the most detailed record of that completed edition; a free Journey from the Heart tribute performance played the Celeste Center on Senior Day, August 4, with no ticket required
