Wild Zen Yoga Fest in Trufant, MI is not currently confirmed to be running. Froligo tracks its status, history and similar festivals still happening.
What it stands for
Wild Zen's stated belief is that yoga is more than a practice, it is a way of living with presence, balance and authenticity, and the festival is framed as a way into mindful living, self-empowerment and vibrant community. The organizer describes the classes as immersive experiences designed to support self-discovery, healing and growth, and each gathering as a chance to reconnect with yourself, others and the natural rhythms of the earth. The invitation is "come as you are. Leave more grounded, radiant, and whole." The festival also states a low waste aim, running free water refill stations rather than selling bottled water
The experience
What's special
A small, single track camping festival on private music festival grounds in rural west Michigan, where the whole weekend runs as one shared thread rather than a grid of competing classes. Camping is included in the weekend ticket, meals are cooked on site by a farm kitchen and blocked into the schedule, and the programme moves from a Friday evening Resonance Flow and a fireside ritual burning and drum circle, through a Saturday of Qigong, somatics, an earth connection walk, nidra and an ecstatic dance that runs into live drum and world music, to a Sunday of gentle practice, a sound bath and a closing circle. The festival calls itself a celebration of the magic of Michigan summers: long golden evenings, lush green landscapes and the freedom of gathering outdoors
Last time around
The 2026 edition ran August 21 to 23 at Smiling Acres with gates at 4 PM Friday, a published single track programme of 23 items including meal services, 16 named instructors, experience leaders, healers and musicians, rustic camping included in the weekend ticket, and all food cooked on site by Earth Weavers Farm

The practice
all levels. A single track, gently paced weekend rather than a packed grid: one offering at a time, with meals and rest built into the schedule. The programme leans toward somatics, contemplative movement, Qigong, yoga nidra, sound and dance rather than a strenuous asana schedule, and the festival's framing is "come as you are, leave more grounded, radiant, and whole"
Slow, exploratory movement focused on how it feels rather than how it looks.
Guided lying-down meditation on the edge of sleep. No movement at all.

Accessibility & comfort
What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.
Checked the Yoga Fest page, the Additional Info page which is the real FAQ, the schedule page, the About page, the sitemap and /accessibility (404). Also checked the venue: smilingacres.com is a parked domain that redirects to a lander and holds no venue content, so the working venue site is smilingacresfestival.com, whose FAQ, Rules, Location and Attendees pages I read. Wild Zen publishes no email address and no phone number anywhere on its site; the only contact route is the contact form on https://wildzenyoga.com/about, or Facebook and Instagram, which the FAQ suggests are more reliable than phone messaging at the grounds. The venue's own contact page likewise offers only a form

What to bring
A full weekend of practice is easier with your own kit. What earns its place in the bag:
Your own matRentals sell out and shared mats are thin. Bring a grippy, cushioned mat you trust for a full weekend of practice.

Teachers & presenters
Roster from the August 21 to 23, 2026 edition. No next edition roster has been published
Plus the rest of the 16+ teachers, practitioners and speakers across the weekend.
Vendors and healers
The festival lists vendors and healers among what the weekend offers and runs a vendor application form, with vendor space sold at $250 for 2026. The festival warns that cell service at the grounds is unreliable, so while many vendors and healers accept card or Venmo, cash is worth carrying
