Galactic is a funk and jam band from New Orleans, Louisiana, formed in the mid-1990s and built around bassist Robert Mercurio, guitarist Jeff Raines, and drummer Stanton Moore. Rooted in New Orleans rhythm and blues while incorporating hip-hop and electronic textures, the band purchased the historic Tipitina's music venue in 2018.
