Joshua Redman (born in 1969 in Berkeley, California) is an American jazz saxophonist and composer, the son of saxophonist Dewey Redman. After winning the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition in 1991, he signed with Warner Bros. and released his self-titled debut album in 1993.
