Kamasi Washington is an American jazz saxophonist, composer, and bandleader born February 18, 1981, in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Inglewood. He gained wide acclaim for his expansive three-disc 2015 debut 'The Epic' and has worked with artists ranging from Snoop Dogg to McCoy Tyner.
