The experience

What's special

Anthrocon began in 1997 as 'Albany Anthrocon' and has grown into one of the largest furry conventions in the world, appearing in the 2008 Guinness Book of World Records; after outgrowing venues in Valley Forge, Albany and Philadelphia, it has run at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh since 2006, where the organizer reports a 2024 local economic impact of about $18 million. The 2027 edition, themed LEVEL 30: BEGIN, runs July 1 to 4. Registration spans Attending, Sponsor, Supersponsor and a lottery-allocated Ultrasponsor tier, with the overall pre-registration count capped each year for venue and attendee safety; children 12 and under attend free
