The experience

What's special

Biggest Little Fur Con is organized by Reno Area Anthropomorphic Arts and Recreation (RAAAR), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and is held at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The organizer's own About page traces its founding to May 3-5, 2013, growing out of a local anime convention's one-off furry event; the convention has since shifted to running in October instead, on a Monday-through-Thursday schedule rather than a weekend. The 2026 edition, themed BLFC at Sea, runs October 12 to 15. Registration offers Attendee, Sponsor and Super Sponsor tiers, with the whole-convention Attendee price itself discounted on Wednesday and Thursday rather than separate single-day badges; children 15 and under attend free with a paid, accompanying parent or guardian

Accessibility & comfort

What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.

Disability access

An accessibility 'express lane' operates at Registration for people with mobility limitations; elevator queues on the Spa Level are managed to let mobility-impaired attendees skip to the front (Casino Level elevator accessibility is subject to hotel policy); a rarely-used secondary elevator runs between the White Rabbit theater and the bowling center as an alternative when main elevators are busy; the Dealers Den has its own dedicated accessibility entry line staffed by Crowd Management.

Read the full notes

For airport transfers, since the hotel's own shuttle lacks a wheelchair lift, the organizer arranges or reimburses a wheelchair-accessible taxi (Reno Sparks Cabs, the only local company with such vehicles) for about $25 each way

ASL

ASL interpreters are hired (subject to availability) for major events such as opening and closing ceremonies; for other events, interpreters can be requested at registration (check 'I would like to request ASL interpreters') and the organizer makes every effort to hire them for the specific events requested

Ages

To get a badge, anyone 16 or 17 needs a signed, notarized parental permission form (no notary required if a parent/guardian signs it in person at registration); no accompanying parent is otherwise required for that age. Anyone younger than 16 must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must buy their own badge; badges for children 15 and under are free.

Minors are never permitted in areas designated for mature audiences, including the Black Market (18+ dealer space) and the After Dark Festival

ChildrenFree badges for children 15 and under with a paid, accompanying parent/guardian badge; 16-17 year olds need a notarized consent form but may otherwise attend without a parent present

Confirm your specific needs with the organiser's access team before you travel.
