Flow Fest Ft Lauderdale returns to Esplanade Park, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Jan 17, 2027. Froligo tracks free-entry details, attendee feedback and travel details.

What it stands for

The organisation describes Flow Fests as single day free public interactive arts experiences and workshop festivals that bring together nationally and internationally touring instructors of multi-cultural dance, circus arts and yoga to provide wellness activities for all ages and skill levels. Its stated vision is a world of play, helping people of all ages rediscover the joy of learning through play. On charging for the workshop pass the site says: We aren't fans of fences; we are working to make flow arts MORE ACCESSIBLE. So please REGISTER and come for FREE. The 2026 theme was Symbiotic, which the organiser framed as leaning into the positive energy and mutual appreciation cultivated across communities nationwide in the past 15 years, and an invitation to explore interdependence

The experience

What's special

A free one day flow arts festival in a downtown riverside park, where object manipulation and yoga run side by side. The 2026 edition packed more than 40 workshops into eight zones between 10am and 5pm, so a beginner could take a free warm up, a beginner poi class and a hula hoop basics session while an experienced spinner worked through hybrid planes on double hoops or 423 hoop juggling next door. The yoga and dance column carries the movement side of the programme: two AcroYoga workshops, an introduction to YogaSlacking on the line, an all-levels handstands and inversions class, a mobility and recovery session built for flow artists, plus breakdance, shuffle and a soca and dancehall dance class. The day closes with a sunset dance party, a twilight LED jam and an instructor showcase

The practice

Who it's for

novice to expert, in the festival's own words. The organiser says workshops in object manipulation and yoga run simultaneously across as many as six options at any given time, which allows novice participants to sample different skill sets and styles while maintaining the rigour of depth within each form for expert dancers looking to sharpen their skills. Individual workshops carry their own level labels, from beginner poi and beginner hula hoop through to intermediate hoop juggling and workshops that list isolations and anti-spins as prerequisites. The AcroYoga session states no prerequisites, all bodies welcome and no partner required

Accessibility & comfort

What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.

Disability accessFlow Fest publishes nothing about disability access for the Fort Lauderdale event. The full flowfests.com page tree was enumerated and there is no accessibility, FAQ, info, plan your visit or contact page; the event page, the about page and both event PDFs were read in full. The word accessible does appear on the site, but every instance is about cost or skill level: the founder's aim of making flow arts accessible to all, the free entry, and workshop moves being accessible for beginners. None of that is a disability access claim and none of it should be read as one. Nothing is published about the terrain or surface at Esplanade Park, accessible parking or drop off, accessible toilets, companion or carer tickets, ASL or interpretation, quiet or low sensory space, or chair and adaptive practice. Ask the organiser at [email protected]; no phone number is published
Shade & heatAn open riverside city park on the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, with workshops laid out across eight outdoor zones. No shade or weather policy is published

Flow Fests publishes nothing about disability access for the Fort Lauderdale event. The whole flowfests.com page tree was enumerated from wp-sitemap and there is no accessibility, FAQ, info, plan-your-visit or contact page anywhere on the site; /accessibility, /faq and /contact all return 404. The ftl-2026 page, the about page and both event PDFs were read in full. The word accessible does appear three times across the site and the workshop PDF, but every instance is about cost or skill level, not disability: the founder's statement about making flow arts accessible to all, the free-entry explanation, and workshop descriptions saying moves are accessible for beginners. None of that is an access claim and none of it should be recorded as one. The SweatPals listing carries only date, location and refund policy. Nothing is published about terrain at Esplanade Park, accessible parking or drop off, accessible toilets, companion tickets, ASL or interpretation, or quiet spaces. They should be opened in a real browser and quoted properly. To ask the organiser: [email protected], published as a mailto link on https://flowfests.com/flowfestsfestivals/. No phone number is published. Note also that the 18 January 2026 Fort Lauderdale edition has already taken place; the site lists a 2027 Fort Lauderdale date of 1.17

Recovery and comfort. A long day of prop manipulation, partner work and dance on park ground, running from a 10am warm up through to a 7pm instructor showcase. Repetitive spinning, juggling and partner acrobatics load the shoulders, wrists and hips, and the programme itself acknowledges this: one 2026 workshop, Resilient Bodies: Strength, Stretch & Recovery for Flow Arts, was described by its teacher as a practical, restorative session teaching mobility drills, injury prevention techniques and nervous system resets for sustainable long term flow practice, and the Intro to Contact Staff description emphasises stretching, body maintenance and how to prevent injury in staff practice. Sun protection, water and footwear that suits both grass and a dance floor fit this setting
