What it stands for

The organizer calls Forest Fest a modern harvest gathering and says it is not produced for you but created with you, with every workshop, shared meal, helping hand, song and conversation adding to it. Its stated intention is to make gathering financially accessible to as many people as possible, through payment plans, financial support and volunteer roles. It is explicit that there is no schedule you have to conquer and nowhere you have to be, and invites people to wander into whatever catches their attention, take a forest walk, or skip something entirely. It says no particular beliefs or background are needed, only curiosity, kindness and an open heart. All of that is the festival describing itself

The experience

What's special

The first Just Love Forest Fest is a three day harvest gathering on 716 acres of Georgia forest, and the way it is sold is the first thing to understand: there is no entry ticket. You book a place to sleep, from $150 for your own tent up to $400 for a queen bed in a canvas bell tent, and that covers two nights on the land, six plant based meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch, and every workshop. Over twenty workshops and experiences are offered by twenty two named members of the extended community, covering yoga, meditation, breath, somatic work, three different sound baths, poetry writing, poi, nature art, permaculture, native plant and green burial education, shamanic kirtan and contra dance. Friday opens with a ritual in the meadow and acoustic music round the fire, Saturday runs from optional morning yoga through a full day of workshops to a three hour ecstatic dance under the stars with CALAGNA, and Sunday closes with a conscious dance led by Marisa Skolky and a final community circle. It is alcohol free, family friendly, and capped at 60 people

The practice

Who it's for

Who it's for. The organizer says you do not need a spiritual background or any particular beliefs, only curiosity and an open heart, and describes the gathering as welcoming the curious, the experienced and everyone in between. Yoga and meditation are described as optional. No level labels, intensity guidance or mobility guidance is published for any session

Programme

There is no timed schedule for 2026 and that is by design. The organizer publishes a shape for each day and a list of facilitators with workshop titles, and states plainly that there is no schedule you have to conquer and nowhere you have to be

5 sessions across the weekend. Open any strand.

Accessibility & comfort

What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.

Disability accessNo accessibility information is published. The registration form does ask for mobility and accessibility needs for the sleeping setup, described as optional and confidential, which is the only access provision visible anywhere
Quiet & supportThe organizer's own description invites people to take a forest walk or find a quiet place beneath a tree, and sets quiet hours from 22:00 to 08:00, but no designated quiet space is described
AgesRegistrants must be 18 or over, or the parent or legal guardian of any minor taking part under their registration. Guardians remain fully responsible for supervising children
ChildrenThe organizer describes the festival as family friendly. No childcare, children's programme, family facilities or reduced children's rate is published

Read the festival page, the event description page, the full registration form and the Just Love Forest home page. The only access provision anywhere is an optional, confidential registration field for mobility and accessibility needs relating to the sleeping setup. Terrain, distances, toilets, showers and medical provision are entirely undescribed

Confirm your specific needs with the organiser's access team before you travel.

Recovery and comfort. The weekend is spent outdoors on forest land, walking between workshop areas, meals, the meadow and camping. The organizer says no particular background or beliefs are needed and that yoga and meditation are optional, and its waiver asks participants to acknowledge the inherent risks of outdoor environments, physical activity, wilderness conditions and off grid retreat settings

Teachers & presenters

Twenty two names for the inaugural 2026 weekend, each paired with the workshop or experience the organizer bills them with. Twenty one come from the festival page's own facilitator grid and Marisa Skolky is named on the event description page as leading the Sunday afternoon conscious dance. Several are billed by first name or stage name only (Trevor, Cody Maria, CALAGNA), and Ed & Tami Howe are billed as a pair. They are workshop and experience leads across many subjects, not a yoga teaching roster: no facilitator is named for the optional yoga and meditation, and no session has a published time
