Louder Than Life is a four-day hard-rock and metal festival held each autumn at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, produced by Danny Wimmer Presents. It pairs a heavyweight rock and metal lineup across side-by-side stages, which lets bands play nearly back-to-back, with the city's bourbon culture, and has grown from a modest start into one of the largest rock gatherings in the country

Last time around (2024)
The 2024 edition, marking the festival's 10-year milestone with headliners including Slipknot, Korn and Mötley Crüe, was hammered by the remnants of Hurricane Helene: heavy rain and wind forced the cancellation of Friday's performances and turned the grounds into deep mud that took days to clean up. Despite losing a full day and slogging through the muck, attendees generally described the weekend as still worth it, crediting the production and the crowd energy

Danny Wimmer Presents publishes a full accessibility guide (note: at louderthanlifefestival.com, not the louderthanlife.com URL held in this record). The festival is outdoors at the Highland Festival Grounds with sometimes great distances between parking lots, camping and stages, and the campgrounds and festival grounds are a combination of concrete, asphalt and natural terrain; the guide adds that there are many newly tarred and paved pathways but still distance between stages.

There are raised accessible viewing platforms plus ground level accessible viewing areas, both with chairs provided, at the main stage and elsewhere; access needs an Access Program wristband from the Access Center, which sits next to guest services at both entrances.
One Access Program patron is allowed one companion in those areas. Viewing areas are first come first served with no saving of seats, and close once at capacity. Accessible portable toilets are at the ends of each bank of portable toilets throughout the venue.
Accessible parking is in Lot B, first come first served, for a $40 daily fee, and requires a valid state issued Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or plate plus proof it belongs to you. Accessible campsites and accessible showers are available; you fill out an Accessible Camping Registration Form after booking a campsite.
Complimentary accessible golf cart shuttles run from the campground to near the Campground Festival Entrance, for Access patrons and one companion only. The festival provides no personal care, no golf cart rides inside the grounds, no push services and no wheelchair rental or loan, though powered wheelchairs can be charged at the Access Center.
Service animals must be registered with Accessibility Staff at the security checkpoint
ASL interpreted shows are offered. Deaf and hard of hearing fans request an ASL Viewing wristband at the Access Center, which admits the fan and one companion to the ASL viewing areas; that area is first come first served with a posted maximum capacity.
ASL interpreters are requested via an online form, and the request form closes one month before the festival, with requests not guaranteed. New for 2026, a limited number of FM based assisted listening devices can be checked out at both Access Centers.
