What it stands for
The festival describes itself as a one of a kind gathering in the Gulf South, created from a deep place of devotion to service, to community and to the transformative power of these practices when they are shared from the heart, and states a vision of being the Crescent City's leading conscious festival where movement, culture and connection converge. Its mantra is Create. Celebrate. Collaborate. The 2026 edition supports YEAH! Yoga, which brings trauma informed yoga and mindfulness to youth impacted by the juvenile justice system, working inside detention centres and residential foster care
The experience
What's special
A four day city yoga festival built around a former church in the Faubourg Marigny. Thursday opens across town at the Vintage Rock Club with an opening ceremony, an embodied practice and kirtan; Friday to Sunday the festival runs two stages at Hotel Peter & Paul, the Shiva Stage inside the church and the more intimate Shakti Stage on the third floor, with the outdoor Piazza holding the vendor village and two Saturday sessions. The published grid mixes Vinyasa, Kundalini, Yin, Restorative, Budokon and alignment based asana with lectures on Vedic philosophy and relationships, embodied astrology, a goddess circle, sound bath and Reiki, cacao and ecstatic dance, and live devotional music including a Bhakti Concert from Sean Johnson & the Wild Lotus Band. Almost everything is first come first served with a wristband, and only the two Restorative Yoga sessions need an advance RSVP

The practice
all levels. The festival states that all levels are welcome, from brand new practitioners to experienced teachers. The grid runs from seated lectures, Yin, Restorative and sound work through to Budokon functional movement, kriya and power flow, dynamic vinyasa and ecstatic dance
Flowing sequences that link breath to movement. Expect to move and sweat.
Breathwork, chanting and repeated movements aimed at energy and focus more than a workout.
Long, passive floor holds that reach deep tissue. Slow, quiet and meditative.
Fully supported poses with props, built for rest and recovery rather than effort.
Slower, foundational postures held breath by breath. The classic starting point.
