Trey Anastasio (born Ernest Joseph Anastasio III, September 30, 1964, in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known as the co-founder and lead guitarist of the rock band Phish. He co-founded Phish in 1983 and has since become the band's primary composer. Alongside his work with the band, he has released numerous solo albums and leads the Trey Anastasio Band.
