Held every Halloween weekend at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, Hulaween pairs a jam- and electronic-leaning lineup (with The String Cheese Incident as recurring hosts) with elaborate art installations, a lantern-lit Spirit Lake area, costumes and late-night 'renegade' campsite sets. The park is laid out like a donut, with stages and art in the center ringed by first-come, first-served camping among live oaks and near the Suwannee River. Long-time attendees treat it as a yearly homecoming and frequently call the venue one of the best festival grounds in the country

The Suwannee setting and its camping culture draw the warmest praise: veterans describe leaving valuables out for years without anything going missing, and the riverside live-oak grounds, Spirit Lake art and self-built campsite community are recurring highlights. The 2025 edition ran over Halloween weekend (Oct 30-Nov 2) and brought unusually cold nights, with several attendees noting temperatures dipping toward the low 30s and quieter late-night renegade activity as a result. Reaction afterward skewed positive, with multi-year veterans calling it among their favorite Hulas, though recurring gripes centered on sound bleed around the DEF/Spirit Lake area, inconsistent security and metal-detector screening, and thin medical visibility. Portable toilets were widely described as well maintained with short lines, and complaints about ticket-price increases and cash-only vendors at a 'cashless' event surfaced again

Festival shuttle
Direct air-conditioned charter coach between Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) and Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. 2025-season published departures: Thursday outbound noon or 4pm; Monday return 8am or noon. Drop-off/pickup on-site at the GA (drop-off only) and VIP (pickup+dropoff) box offices. ADA wheelchair-lift buses available with 7+ days' notice, limited to 2 wheelchairs/bus. The festival's own FAQ/shuttles page states this is run by an independent third-party vendor and Hulaween disclaims responsibility for delays/operations

Campers with a Primitive Car Pass, VIP Car Pass, or Satellite Parking Pass (see car_hire/camping_deep_dive pricing) park within the campgrounds directly rather than a day lot.

Hulaween has a full ADA guide covering terrain, wristbands, viewing, camping and communication. On ground surface it warns the event is held on mostly grassy terrain with some hills and slopes, and some areas are sandy with tree roots, while accessible routes connect parking, entrances, stages, accessible viewing areas, vendors and other activity areas.

Guests must navigate between stages on their own or with a companion because the festival does not offer transportation between stages, and it provides no wheelchair or scooter rentals. There is no accessibility ticket and no pre-registration; you collect a free accessibility wristband at the Accessibility Services Hub next to Lost & Found near the General Store.
One accessibility companion wristband is issued per guest with a disability, and a companion can be swapped by returning the original wristband. Accessible viewing areas are available to guests with disabilities and their one companion at designated stages.
Accessible camping is requested through an Accessible Camping Registration Form and campsites include close access to paths, entrances, exits, shuttles, accessible restrooms and accessible showers, first come first serve, with a valid state issued handicap placard, plate or sticker required to enter the accessible camping area.
Motorised mobility devices can be recharged at the Hub on a 110-volt, 20 amp circuit. Service animals are permitted; emotional support, therapy and comfort animals are not. No quiet or sensory space is described
Hulaween handles ASL through an Effective Communication request process. It accepts requests for ASL interpretation and other forms of effective communication such as live captioning, large format print or braille literature, guided tours for guests with visual disabilities and assistive listening devices.
