Montana's two summer festivals named their bills in the same week, eight months out

Under the Big Sky showed its hand on Thursday 29 October: Zach Bryan, Kacey Musgraves and Nathaniel Rateliff lead 16 to 18 July 2027 at Big Mountain Ranch in Whitefish, with Sam Barber, Brandon Flowers, Midland, Dawes, The Wallflowers, The Devil Makes Three and Paul Cauthen on the bill and a rodeo that runs all weekend. Two days earlier, Zootown in Missoula had put Brandi Carlile, Alabama Shakes, Whiskey Myers and Courtney Barnett on its Friday and Jack Johnson, Caamp, Sierra Ferrell and Kitchen Dwellers on its Saturday, 18 and 19 June at the Missoula County Fairgrounds, Jack Johnson's first Montana show. Zootown's tickets went on sale on Friday with layaway from ten percent down. Under the Big Sky's presale opens on Friday 6 November at ten in the morning Mountain time, with the public sale at two.

Two festivals about 130 miles apart, a month apart in June and July, both selling before Thanksgiving. Zootown is in its third year and sold a first batch of 2027 tickets before it had a single name; Saving Country Music calls Under the Big Sky the biggest independent country and roots festival in the country, and this bill sits further from the Nashville mainstream than last year's. If you were planning a Montana summer, the dates are fixed now and the cheaper tiers go first.

Verified Under the Big Sky's dates, venue, lineup and presale from the festival's own site and Saving Country Music, 29 October; Zootown's dates, venue, day by day lineup and sale times from the festival's own site and NBC Montana, 27 October.

What's movingDaytona, 6 to 9 Mayyesterday

Welcome to Rockville shows all 150 names, and a four-day pass is $445 with the fees in

Danny Wimmer Presents published the full Welcome to Rockville bill on Thursday: 6 to 9 May 2027 at Daytona International Speedway, more than 150 artists on five stages. blink-182, Korn, Pierce The Veil and Bad Omens lead it, with Faith No More, Alice In Chains, Judas Priest, The Prodigy, The Offspring, Papa Roach and MGK below them, Marilyn Manson performing Antichrist Superstar in full, Till Lindemann of Rammstein, and reunion sets from Forever The Sickest Kids and Hey Monday. The trade press has Faith No More's date as the first North American show of their reunion. Four-day general admission is $445 with fees and taxes included, VIP is $845, the Daytona Owners Club is $2,400, single and two-day passes are on sale too, and payment plans start at a dollar down.

The all-in price matters: $445 is the number you pay, not the number before fees. The bill runs from pop punk to Judas Priest, and the reunion sets are what sell single days first. Camping, parking and hotels are sold separately, and all sales are final.

Verified Dates, venue, artist count, stages, pass prices and terms from the festival's own site, 2 November; the artist list from its lineup page the same day; the Faith No More reunion note from Loudwire and Metal Injection, 29 October. This was the most clicked search on Froligo this week.

Kilby Block Party's May lineup leaked, then landed: Deftones, The Strokes and Jungle

A flyer with more names than the official poster circulated on social media early last week, and the festival said anything posted before Wednesday was not an official representation. On Wednesday 28 October it published the real one: Deftones, The Strokes and Jungle on top for 14 to 16 May 2027 at the Utah State Fairpark, with Fontaines D.C., Slayyyter, Lil Yachty, IDLES, Spoon, Two Door Cinema Club, Weyes Blood, Kim Gordon, Julien Baker, Hot Chip and Kurt Vile among more than seventy artists, and a dozen slots still marked announcing soon. Deftones' set is their first announced show of 2027. Three-day general admission is $245 and VIP $409, with payment plans from $49 down; the general sale opened on Thursday morning and the early bird tier is already gone.

Kilby Block Party is the indie festival that sells on its undercard, and this one is deep. A $245 three-day pass with a $49 deposit keeps it one of the cheaper ways into a Strokes and Deftones weekend next year.

Verified The artist list from the festival's own lineup page, 2 November; dates, venue, prices, sale times and the leak from KSL and the Deseret News, 28 October.

Momentous is cancelled a week out. Cut Copy and The Faint still play Bentonville on Friday

The Momentary has cancelled this year's Momentous festival, which was to run 6 and 7 November in Bentonville, Arkansas. Every festival ticket is being refunded automatically to the original payment method, which the venue says takes one to two weeks to show. Cut Copy and The Faint will still perform at the RØDE House at the Momentary on Friday 6 November; festival tickets do not transfer to that show, so it needs its own ticket, with details to follow from the venue.

If you had a ticket, there is nothing to do but watch your statement. If you were travelling for it, Friday's show is the only part left.

Verified The cancellation, refund terms and the Friday show from the Momentary's own event page, 2 November; our record has carried the cancellation since 12 October.

Wurstfest opens on Friday: ten days of German bands on the Comal, and four of them are free

The 65th Wurstfest runs 6 to 15 November in Landa Park, New Braunfels, on the banks of the Comal River: more than forty bands on five stages and over 250 sets, polka and brass alongside the sausage. Monday to Thursday, 9 to 12 November, admission is free from five in the evening. Fridays and Sundays are $15 online or $20 at the gate, Saturdays $25 online or $30, children twelve and under free every day, and the final Sunday is free after three. The same opening weekend, the 63rd Florida Seafood Festival fills Battery Park in Apalachicola on 6 and 7 November with oyster eating and shucking contests, blue crab races, a parade and the blessing of the fleet.

Wurstfest is the rare big festival where the weeknights cost nothing, and the Saturdays are the crowded ones. Buy online and you save five dollars on every paid day. Apalachicola is the opposite kind of weekend: a small town, one park, and the oysters are the point.

Verified Wurstfest's dates, prices, hours and scale from the festival's own site, 2 November; the Florida Seafood Festival from its own site the same day. A reader asked Ask Froligo what time Wurstfest opens.

TrendingYou askedyesterday

You asked when Bonnaroo 2027 is. There is no Bonnaroo in 2027

Every week we gather the questions you asked most, and try to answer them. Bonnaroo is taking 2027 off. The festival said so on 21 August, after a second wet June in a row: the 2025 edition was called off after its first day in a thunderstorm, the 2026 one ran 11 to 14 June through a heavy Sunday rainstorm, and the farm in Manchester, Tennessee, needs the year to rest and recover, new drainage, roads and grass notwithstanding. Nothing has been said about 2028. Lost Lands, the search that sent the most readers to Froligo this week, has said only that it will see you next year: the 2026 edition ran 18 to 20 September in Ohio and the 2027 page shows no dates, no names and no tickets. Coachella has fixed its dates, 9 to 11 and 16 to 18 April 2027, sold its advance passes, and named nobody; the one industry report so far has Tame Impala and Dua Lipa expected to headline, unconfirmed.

If Bonnaroo was your June, the question is which June festival takes its place, and the answers so far are in Montana and Wisconsin rather than Tennessee. If you are waiting on Lost Lands or Coachella, there is nothing to buy yet and nothing to miss.

Signal Ask Froligo: 'when is Bonnaroo 2027' asked twice, most recently 12 October. Bing this week: 'lost lands 2027' sent more clicks to Froligo than any other search.

Coming upMiramar Beach, 9 to 11 Aprilyesterday

Joe Bonamassa's Sound Wave Beach Weekend returns to Miramar Beach in April, with Kingfish and Kenny Wayne Shepherd

Sound Wave Beach Weekend runs 9 to 11 April 2027 at Miramar Beach on the Florida panhandle, its second year, with lodging at the Seascape Resort. Joe Bonamassa's bill has Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Trombone Shorty, Los Lonely Boys, Christone Kingfish Ingram, The War and Treaty, the Robert Randolph Band, Tab Benoit, The Record Company, Daniel Donato, Bywater Call and Nikki Hill alongside Bonamassa himself. Every pass covers all three nights: the Sound Bay standing pass by the stage is $995 a person, reserved coves are sold whole for two, four or six people from $395 a person, and Sunset Suites seat ten.

It is a resort weekend priced like one: the cheapest way in is a shared cove, and the pit is a thousand dollars. Three nights of Bonamassa's own booking on a Gulf beach in April is the point.

Verified Dates, place, the lineup and the pass types from the festival's own site, 2 November; prices from the festival's booking page via our record, made the same day.

Sand In My Boots is back on the Gulf Shores beach in May. Barefoot has four headliners for June

Morgan Wallen's Sand In My Boots returns to the Gulf Shores beaches on 21 to 23 May 2027, AEG Presents confirmed on Friday, with the lineup promised soon and ticket details to follow it; the first edition, in May 2025, sold out with Wallen, Post Malone, Brooks and Dunn and HARDY. Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood, New Jersey, has filled its top line for 17 to 20 June 2027 one name at a time since September: Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Riley Green and, on 16 October, Tim McGraw.
